Playing for Brazil

Here at camp we had World Cup Soccer Day.  I played for Brazil. On our team we had a super-star counselor who was proficient at soccer, but the rest of our team was average.  Watching the super-star I could see that he couldn’t score a goal alone, that truly it was a team effort.  “Let your light shine” is not a singular thing. When we shine forth with greater clarity, unselfishness, and spiritual conviction, that provides light for other people too.

Ultimately, this shining is about, “Let[ting] your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (see the Bible, Matthew 5:16)

The credit goes to God and God surely needs us to shine as proof of His/Her oneness/wholeness.
