Ten fingers

I am currently visiting my family in Maine. We had a family wedding over the 4th of July and there was much work to do. Sometimes, when so many people get together it’s easy to feel a clash of personalities.  It’s been a great occasion to check in with God night and day. One way that I count my blessings is to specifically identify 10 things (because I have 10 fingers) that were blessings, gifts from God that day. Father-Mother God loves us and we can’t be numb to God’s blessings.

Another thing that was helpful was reading the article from Miscellaneous Writings 1883-1896 by Mary Baker Eddy, “Taking Offense.” It helped me to know that criticism, disapproval, hatred, distrust are the punishment for taking offense. We can choose to trust God; it’s not about trusting people or human circumstances.

Such love for a blessed day with God!
